Food.
It really doesn’t make sense for us (or any business) to talk the talk, and not walk the walk! That is why we chose to make a 100% Plant-Based Menu. We know the effect that our diets have on the environment, and also recognize the violence that the agricultural industrial complex perpetuates toward both our animal and human friends. That being said, shame is not the name of our game!
Our goal is to provide another fun, plant-based option to increase education and accessibility for people interested in minimizing their impact.
Omnivores are always welcome!
Education.
We know the basics. But we also know that we can learn from each other! There are no stupid questions here. We believe that no one was born into enlightenment, and we have the bandwidth for patience.
We’ve never met an unproblematic person without blind spots - The best place to start changing the world is within ourselves.
We’re in the business of calling people in, asking the tough questions, and creating an opportunity to check ourselves, regardless of how far along on our journey we may be.
Community.
Food is Communal. We’ve grown away from the tradition of gathering around a meal and sharing our experiences with others. The same can be said for the way we: avoid political topics, avoid addressing systemic issues, avoid our marginalized neighbors, and avoid accountability for our communities.
Community is at the heart of The Radical Beet. We want to learn from ours and serve it.
